When you focus on the good, the good gets better and that’s exactly the approach I bring to my coaching.

Hi, I’m Meryl! I’m happiest outdoors, moving my body, and exploring the trails with my running shoes on. I believe deeply in the power of movement, mindset and nourishing food not just for performance, but for living a balanced, fulfilling life. My coaching blends these elements to help runners feel stronger, healthier and more confident in themselves.

I feel we can all benefit from slowing down and putting our own health and wellbeing first.

When we take care of ourselves first, we’re better equipped to show up for the people and commitments that matter most. Sometimes all it takes is an hour or two each month a safe, supportive space to talk things through to feel empowered again and make the lifestyle changes we’ve been putting off.

My Journey to Coaching

My first career was in secondary school Physical Education teaching. In 2019, alongside my training as a GB ultra‑trail runner, I officially stepped into coaching as my profession.

During my leadership training, I completed Professional Coach in Education qualifications and it was here that I truly saw the life‑changing impact of coaching. I realised how much I cared about helping people overcome challenges, build confidence and live healthier, more active lives.

Running coaching transformed my own life too. It helped me move from long, stressful days and constant overwhelm to a healthier balance between sport, work and everything else that matters. My physical health improved, my mindset strengthened, and I developed the resilience needed to bounce back from setbacks.

This shift allowed me to perform at my best, represent my country in ultra‑trail running and build the coaching business I once only dreamed of.

We can all create the balance we desire in our health, training and life.

We just need the right support, structure and challenge along the way

Without support, it’s easy to fall back into old patterns. But when you consistently focus on what you truly want and commit to it with the help of a coach change becomes not only possible, but sustainable.
